How does JBoyWii typically integrate AI in music production?

Honestly, the answer is “it depends”. I take a slightly different approach each time I work on a track. Sometimes a song has been previously recorded and is being resurrected with AI production. Other times, lyrics are written and imported into an AI tool (such as Suno), and then the work begins trying to find the perfect sound, genre, voice, instrumentation, chord progressions, harmonies, etc. Other times, I’ll use a traditional DAW, or an AI-assisted DAW to stem song parts, some of which get edited, mixed, remixed, swapped out, or otherwise modified. Once in a blue moon, Suno matches music so well to my lyrics, that there is very little that needs editing. It’s a mixed bag, but it’s a lot of fun. More recently, I’ve started using traditional instruments and laying down physical tracks alongside AI produced tracks. It will always be an experiment, but the ultimate goal is to come out the other end with a great sounding and impactful song.

Can I submit my music to be featured by JBoyWii Studios?

Yes, I am currently accept submissions if you would like your music featured in the curated portfolio on this site. A prerequisite is that there must be a minimum level of human input, creativity and involvement in the process, and then I make selections from there. Overall, I will be looking for music that inspires me, or really shines in creativity. The music must be interesting, unique and engaging, and from artists who are passionate about their projects.

What genres does JBoyWii Studios focus on?

I’m looking for diverse styles of music which have been enhanced by AI, but sculpted carefully with a human touch. I will consider all genres, but look for the best of the best out there for featuring.

Where can I listen to JBoyWii Studios releases?

My music is available on YouTube primarily, but also may be found at times on other social media platforms such as Instagram and X. And of course, you can find it here on the official website.
